Friday's May 9th Athletic Competitions

This Friday will be a very busy day for our athletes.  --Junior High Track will compete Friday, May 9th at Dighton.  Start time is 10:00 a.m. --High School Track will compete at Colby.  The start time for this Friday's competition is 3:00 p.m. --Golf teams will be back in action. School Physicals and Well Child Exams

On May 7th and May 8th, the Ness City Medical Clinic will offer School Sports Physicals/Well Child Exams for the 2025-2026 school year for all current 6 th -11 th  grade students. Any student wanting to participate in KSHSAA school athletics will need a physical completed and on file with the school before the first day of sports practice (See the attachment below "School Sports Physicals" for more information . . .

All League Scholar's Bowl

Ness City Scholar's Bowl team added more hardware to their already stellar season landing all five participants on the Central Prairie League team.  Earning 1st team honors were Wyatt Sutton (unanimous) & Chris Luciano.  Second team went to Jorge Esparza & Hunter Stenzel.  Honorable Mention belonged to Thane Brenner.  Congratulations gentlemen!

Ag Classes Plant Lavender

The 8th grade Intro to Ag class got to play in the dirt Tuesday afternoon. The kids leveled the soil then laid "weed barrier" cloth.  The next day, the high school Ag class planted  18 lavender starter plants.    The goal for 2025-2026 school year is to harvest the lavender, dry it to collect the oil, then create pouches of "wonderful smelling" goodness.   . . .
